Friday April 5th 2019
Delegates arrive at Belfast International Airport - https://www.belfastairport.com. There are 2 airports in Belfast, where ever possible please use International.
4pm onwards – Onward transport to accommodation: The Dreen https://www.facebook.com/thedreen/
6pm Evening meal served at The Dreen
7pm onwards – Evening meeting – Introductions and current work.
Saturday April 6th 2019
8 am – Breakfast at The Dreen
9 am – AGM at The Dreen
1 pm / end of AGM. Travel to Eugene Mullan’s social farm at Armoy https://www.ruralsupport.org.uk/social_farming/eugene-mullan and after that to Cloughmills for site visit at the Cloughmills Garden & Nature Reserve http://www.cloughmills.org.uk/community-garden. Meet local groups and learn about activity in Northern Ireland.
6 pm onwards – evening meal and entertainment at Cloughmills.
10 pm return to The Dreen
Sunday April 7th
8am Depart the Dreen for An Carn http://www.ancarn.org/en/home
9 am Breakfast at An Carn
10 am Site visit at An Carn Nature reserve. For those who have time a visit could be arranged from An Carn to Upperlands to hear about history of flax growing and current production of Irish Linen.
12.00 – Return transport to Belfast International Airport for onward flights. Travel to the airport on the Sunday is about an hour, so should be at International Airport by 13-30 at the latest. Travel to George Best (Belfast City) http://www.belfastcityairport.com/ takes longer.
